Air New Zealand Unveils Major 2025 International Flight Discounts
New Zealand’s flagship airline, Air New Zealand, has announced yet another major discount on its air ticket sale for both domestic and internal travelers looking to explore the world on a budget.
According to the airline’s announcement on Monday, January 6, it has begun selling discounted air tickets for over 300,000 seats. The sale covers 20 domestic and 27 international destinations on specific dates across 2025, with seats subject to availability.
Dubbed New Zealand Air’s “New Year Sale,” the air ticket sale covers popular international destinations. A one-way trip to Bali in Indonesia starts at $629, a trip to Hawaii at $549, and a one-way trip to Sydney from $199.
Air NZ Chief Executive Greg Foran said the timing of this offer was not a coincidence, as millions of holiday travelers are returning to work. Foran added that the discounted airfares aim to help travelers handle post-travel blues.

Expanding Flights Network Beyond Traditional Boundaries
Air New Zealand has been working to expand the sale of discounted flight tickets beyond its own fleet.
In September 2024, the company launched an extended sale of discounted air tickets to 22 long-haul destinations, including Paris, Seol, Honolulu, Tokyo, New York, Vancouver, Shanghai, London, Frankfurt, and Las Vegas.
The company also entered a joint venture with Air China, United Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and Singapore, allowing customers to book discounted air tickets for destinations beyond Air New Zealand’s direct network.
These partnerships offer additional incentives to frequent flyers by awarding them redeemable loyalty points any time they fly with the carrier. Frequent travelers can also have the privilege of accessing lounge facilities where available.
With the end-year holidays over, Air New Zealand is already working on increasing its passenger capacity in 2025 by offering relatively low flight prices to attract more customers as the holiday traffic slows.
Foram invites travelers to take advantage of the new cheaper flights and see more of the world before flight costs go up.
